Quick Overview

Scleropages inscriptus

The Batik Arowana (Scleropages inscriptus) is a large, bony-tongued fish native to Myanmar. The species is located in the Tananthayi River basin on the Indian Ocean coast of peninsular Myanmar. When adult, they develop a beautiful flower scaled opalescent design. Breeders of this species are very limited and this makes these a very rare example from the Arowana family.
